As machines will become more and more powerful, they will start competing in the area of consciousness with humans. Humans can either delegate all tasks to
machines or they can make machines find solutions to more tougher philosophical questions.
In this communication between humans and machines, will we be able to understand what a more powerful (may be more conscious) "being" is trying to say to us ?
A lot of these kinds of ideas were resonating in this excellent video:
and in movie "Her" :
This idea was explored more in movie "Arrival", where you can replace machines with Aliens :
May be we should try to make ants and dogs understand what we are saying.
May be then we can use the same technique (in reverse way) to help future machines make us understand what they are saying.
If we think that those powerful machines will be able to device a way themselves to communicate with us, then we are trying to take a catastrophic chance.

I think it would be foolish of mankind to empower and trust machines with a higher sense of consciousness. On a lighter vein, God did this mistake by creating humans, we must not replicate it.
